About PayCalc
PayCalc is a small collection of free payroll and leave calculators built for people in the United States and the United Kingdom. The goal is simple: answer a pay question in one screen, with the rule that drives it stated plainly underneath.
What we do differently
- Calculator first. No 2,000-word preamble before you can type a number.
- Nothing leaves your browser. Every calculation runs in JavaScript on your device. We never see your salary.
- Rules, not guesses. Defaults follow the FLSA and the UK Working Time Regulations, and each page shows the formula it uses.
- Free, permanently. No account, no trial, no export paywall.
How the site is funded
PayCalc is supported by unobtrusive display advertising. Advertisers never see the figures you enter, and no calculator feature is ever gated behind an ad.
Accuracy
Calculators produce estimates based on the inputs you provide and the statutory rules published by the US Department of Labor and GOV.UK. They are not legal, tax or payroll advice. Contracts, collective agreements and state or local law can change the answer — if a number matters, confirm it with your employer or a qualified adviser.
